The steamer Fidra was wrecked at Yungamesand, Amrun, North Frisian Islands, when on a voyage from Burntisland to Rendsburg with a cargo of coal. Two boats presumed to belong to the Fidra were washed ashore.

WRECK OF STEAMER FIDRA. SEVENTEEN MEN ON BOARD. LIST OF CREW WHO SIGNED ON AT BURNTISLAND.
The steamer Fidra has been wrecked on the coast of Schleswig-Holstein, and yesterday her owners, Messrs. Salvesen, of Leith, received a telegram from Hamburg stating that two boats presumed to belong to the Fidra had been washed ashore.
The Fidra, which was well known at Burntisland, left that port for Rendsburg coal-laden on Tuesday last. The following is an official list the crew, all of whom signed on Burntisland last week: Master—John M. Cameron, 57 years age, 68 Spottiswoode Street, Edinburgh. Mate—D. Gorrie, 60 years of age, 167 Gilmore Place, Edinburgh. Married, and has a family. Native of Tayport. Second mate—A. Anderson (23), 67 Prince Regent Street, Leith. Native of Shetland. Steward—G. Schiffensdecker (46), a German. Chief engineer—James Hepburn (42), Strathtay Cottages, Leven. Married, and has family. Native of St Andrews. Second engineer—A. Angles, 60 years of age, 40 Henderson Street, Leith. Married, and has family. Native Kirkcaldy. Cook—G. Walker (39), James Street, Aberdeen. Boatswain—A. Johannes (21), Dutchman. Resides at 32 Commercial Street, Leith.
Seamen—J. Dastale (43), 20 Shore, Leith; L. Wiggan (43), Norwegian; J. M'Donald (46), native of Inverness, 2 Smith's Land, Leith; H. Kittleson (52), Norwegian, Dock Street, Leith; Hugh Ellon (23), Perth Street, Nairn.

The Fidra was steel screw steamer of 1218 tons, and was built at West Hartlepool in 1889.
