Fate

The Norwegian steamship Marit was torpedoed and sunk by U-596 (Victor-Wilhelm Nonn), off the Lbyan coast, on October 4th, 1943. The ship was on a voyage from Haifa to malta with a cargo of fuel oil. Master Sverre Caspersen. Two crew members were lost.
