Fate

The British steamship Thistledhu was torpedoed and sunk by U-82 off the west coast of Ireland, on June 18th, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Iquique to Newport with a cargo of nitrate. Master - G.A. Whitfield. Four lives were lost.
