Fate
The Norwegian steamship Sara was wrecked on Hendon Rock, just outside Sunderland Harbour, on November 22nd, 1915. The ship was on a voyage from Gothenburg to Sunderland with a cargo of pit-props. No lives were lost. Master J. Zachariassen. Many artifacts, including the bell, have been recovered from the wreck.
