Fate

The British steamship Jessie was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-82 (Hans Adam), 260 miles west of the Scilly Isles, on June 16th, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Alexandria to Hull with a cargo of cotton seed. No lives were lost. Master  W. Bedlington.
