Fate

The British steamship Mountby was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UC-49 (Hans Kukenthal), 8 miles east of Lizard Head, on June 10th, 1918. The ship had sailed from Swansea with a cargo of Admiralty stores. No lives were lost.
