Fate

On a voyage from Archangel for London with a cargo of pulpwood she was wrecked near Cape Gorodetsky on a continuous reef at the entrance to the White Sea on 7 October 1912. The inquiry found that negligence by the master & the chief officer caused the casualty & endangered lives. The master’s certificate was suspended for three months & he was ordered to pay £50 towards the cost of the inquiry. The chief officer was ordered to pay £10 towards the cost. Master Evan Jones.
