Fate
The Dutch steamship Noorderdijk was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-21 (Otto Hersing), 30 miles north-west of the Scilly Isles, on February 22nd, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from New York to Rotterdam with a cargo of wheat and corn meal. Master J. de Koning.
