Fate
The British steamship Merioneth was sunk by the German submarine U-28 (Georg Schmidt) off northern Norway on June 3rd, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Cardiff to Archangel with a cargo of coal. No lives were lost. Master David R. Jones.
