Fate

Torpedoed and sunk off the coast of West Africa by U-105 on March 18th, 1941. The ship was in Convoy SL.68 on a voyage from Pepel (Sierra Leone), to the Tees with a cargo of iron ore. All 54 hands were lost including three from West Hartlepool;
