Fate

The Greek steamship Barbara was sunk by gunfire from the German submarine U-49 (Richard Hartman), off the north-west coast of Spain, on November 11th, 1916. The ship was on a voyage from Alexandria to Bristol with a cargo of cotton. No lives were lost. Master M. Calogiannis.
