Fate

The West Hartlepool-owned steamship Argo was sunk by the German submarine U-35 (Lother von Arnaud de la Periere), off the Algerian coast, on December 24th, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Penarth to Alexandria with coal and general cargo. No lives were lost. Master W.D. Kirkwood.
