Decorated for the 1953 Coronation, this was at the time the Welford home looking at the Oval from Glendale Avenue.

Taken at Greatham High Street on May 28th 1952, the image is of Frank Welford and Dave Harvey with their broken tandem.

Taken at Park Drive in 1942, the boy batting is Frank Welford. 

On  the left hand side, the building is the old tea pavilion which stood where the scoreboard is now.

Taken around 1956 at 37 The Oval, the image shows Frank Welford in a pedal car made from scrap and showing the Scout emblem on the bonnet. Looking on are 40th cub Terry Arthur and 40th scouts David Allen and Panshore Roberts.

In 1911 and for some years afterwards, the Connons lived at 27, Albert Street. From the left is Norah (later Readhead), Kathleen, Mary Ann, Letitia and Gertrude. The little boy, who was Letitia's son, died shortly after this 1916 photo was taken by Hancock of West Hartlepool.

By 1911 William Connon's wife Mary had given birth to 9 children who were all still living. At least one later child died and son Charles William was lost on HMS Indefatigable at the Battle of Jutland on May 31st, 1916. William Connon had been born in Kincardine Scotland.
