The Connon Girls 1916
				
																				Donated by Anne CoxIn 1911 and for some years afterwards, the Connons lived at 27, Albert Street. From the left is Norah (later Readhead), Kathleen, Mary Ann, Letitia and Gertrude. The little boy, who was Letitia's son, died shortly after this 1916 photo was taken by Hancock of West Hartlepool.
By 1911 William Connon's wife Mary had given birth to 9 children who were all still living. At least one later child died and son Charles William was lost on HMS Indefatigable at the Battle of Jutland on May 31st, 1916. William Connon had been born in Kincardine Scotland.
