Fate

In convoy HX-115 on a voyage from Halifax for Liverpool with a cargo of wheat & a total compliment of 40 Germanic was torpedoed by German submarine U-48 (Herbert Schultze) & sank about 400 miles south of Iceland on 29 March 1941. Survivors were picked up by HMS Dianella & landed at Londonderry. Master Richard Mortimer. Five crewmen were lost.
