William Oxford was empowered to sell the vessel at Lisbon for any sum he saw fit within six months of date of certificate & she was sold on 8 January 1861 to a foreigner at Lisbon.
The above ship Zaire is recorded as being built in 1860 & 1870. She was returned to British Registry in 1882 & was given a new Official No. 82515. Her British Register closed 1894.
