Fate

On May 18th, 1905, the British steamship Oldhamia, on a voyage from New York to Hong Kong with a cargo of case oil, was captured in the Luzon Straits and taken as a prize by the Russian cruiser Oleg. Ordered to Vladivostock, on June 8th, 1905, the ship was run aground on Etorofu Island and set on fire by her prize crew.
