Fate

The Norwegian steamship Consul Persson was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-54 (Volkhard von Bothmer), in the North Sea, on April 1st, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Kirkenes, in northern Norway, to Middlesbrough with a cargo of ore. There were no casualties. Master - O. Johannssen.
