Bombed and sunk by aircraft about 40 miles north-east of Algiers on May 30th, 1944. The ship was on a voyage from Cardiff via Gibraltar to Augusta, Sicily, with a cargo of coal. Master G.G. Maunder. Twelve hands were lost.
