1994 - Durham County Colts v Surrey Colts.

A pic from the Mail Archives but it is unsure where it was taken, possible Mayfield Park Gym or Brinkburn?, also taken before training

It shows the Durham Squad that took on Surrey at Twickenham on 10th December, 1994, in the Final of the Sun Alliance County Colts Championship, Durham coming off second best. They had earlier beaten East Midlands at Castlecroft, the former RFU base in Wolverhampton. Surrey incidentally had seen off Yorkshire on the same day.

The team was led by Jon Benson, then with Durham City, and the only town representative was Martin Shaw then with West Hartlepool.
