Otterpool - Lives lost 1940

Master: 1940 Thomas Prince.

In convoy HGF-34 on a voyage from Bona for Middlesbrough with a cargo of iron-ore & a total complement of 39 Otterpool was torpedoed by German submarine U-30 (Fritz-Julius Lemp) & sank 30 miles west of Ushant on 20 June 1940. 1 gunner, the master & 21 of the crew lost.
