Artemis - a general history

Masters: 1865 Hubbard.

Voyages: Hartlepool for London.

Artemis left Hartlepool on 23 January 1865 bound for London with a cargo of coal & was lost in the Stanford Channel near Lowestoft on 4 February 1865. The crew were saved by a fishing yawl. The vessel was insured in the Hartlepool & Yorkshire Clubs. The crew of the fishing yawl were rewarded for their efforts with £7.10s.
