Bound from Bourgas, Turkey for Antwerp with a cargo of wheat & a crew of 21 Horace had her decks swept during a Force 10 Northerly gale in the East Mediterranian on 19 December 1891. The boatswain was washed overboard & drowned.

Bound from Sunderland for Cronstadt with a cargo of coal Atlantic sunk after a collision with the steamer Twizell in the North Sea on 17 July 1902. Crew saved.
