Fate

The steamship Maroc was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UB-74 (Ernst Steindorff), 2 miles south-east of the Longships Light Vessel, on April 14th, 1918. The ship was on a voyage from Port Talbot to La Rochelle with an un-named cargo, although very probably coal. Master Auffret.
