Fate

The British steamship Cresswell was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-46 (Leo Hillebrand) in the Irish Sea, on February 5th, 1918. The ship was on a voyage from Glasgow to Gibraltar with a cargo of coal. No lives were lost.
