On a voyage from Ellesmere Port for Risor in ballast during a southerly gale Seniority struck Bo Vich Chuan Rock off Barra Island, Hebrides on 7 November 1950. She was refloated but sank in 9 fathoms of water about 3 miles from Castlebay on 9 November 1950.
