Fate

Torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-35 (Lothar von Arnaud de la Periere), 40 miles south of Malta, on January 1st, 1917. The ship was carrying a cargo of hay. Three crew were lost: A.L. Abbott; James George Irvine; and Wilfred Howell Williams. The Master, J.A. Taylor, was taken prisoner aboard the U-boat.
