Lost when the steamship Rosalie, of Cardiff, was torpedoed and sunk in the Mediterranean, on February 20th, 1917.

Frederick Drew was born in 1884 at Hartlepool, and was Christened on October 1st, 1884, at Holy Trinity Church, Hartlepool.  
He was the son of John Clark Drew (from Sunderland), a Driller at a local marine engine works, and Catherine Drew (nee Rodenbury).

The 1901 Census shows Frederick living with parents in Malton Street, Hartlepool.
He married Emily Craddock in 1908 and had three known children; Winifred born 1909; Cyril born 1910 and Veronica born 1912.

The 1911 Census shows him living with Emily's parents at No.3, Watt Street, Central Estate, however, Memorial records at the time of his death give his address as 100, Lynn Street, West Hartlepool.
