Sunk by gunfire from the German submarine U-39 (Walter Forstmann), 75 miles south-east of Cartagena, Spain, on September 9th, 1915. The ship was on a voyage from Alexandria to the Clyde with a cargo of beans. No lives were lost. Master J.A. Kelynack.
