They amassed 1190 points in this campaign conceding just 271, and no less than five of them went on to be part of the North of England Colts squad in Keith Blakey, Les Peacock, Richard Neesham, Mark Baggs and Kevin McClelland.
The trio of trophies that marked the season are the Bob Hewitt Memorial 7's trophy, a competition run by Horden to remember the work done by Bob Hewitt at Colts level locally.
The Humphries Cup annexed after beating Ryton Colts 18 – 0, Ryton had won the Sunderland Cup played for by clubs in the North of the County. West as Lormor Cup holders there became Durham County Champions!
The Lormor Cup Winners was achieved by beating Stockton 11 - 4 in the Final, having disposed of Rovers in the semi. That match on Rossmere saw them pass the 1000 point mark and in the Final at Stockton tries from Paul Whitelock and Kevin McClelland, plus a penalty from Cameron Henderson saw them home.
