Bound from Blyth via Brest for Quiberon with a cargo of coal she was attacked by a German submarine & damaged on 17 January 1918.

Bound from Manchester for Civitavecchia with a cargo of coal Messidor was torpedoed by German submarine (UB-50 Heinrich Kukat) & sank 73 miles SW of Port Mahon on 23 July 1918. One life lost.
